Birmingham Diocese of the Church of England approached me to design and deliver a really special chapel for their brand new secondary school building, Christ Church Secondary Academy in Yardley Wood which opened its doors to its first intake in September 2021. They wanted a space that felt special, comfortable, unique and peaceful. They wanted to make the kids feel at home, and asked for a lot of wow factor. This piece included a commission for a bespoke 4m wide piece of light art: a cross feature as the focal point for the room.
