Coventry City Council run Family Hubs all over the city, which are a place for families with children up to 19 to come and find support, spend time, attend groups. Being a place that facilitates all ages, from babies to youth to adults, the team at Wood Side Family Hub wanted to create an environment that appealed to all! They wanted it to be vibrant, fun place to be, that offered inspiration and comfort to the people who spend time there. I'm thrilled with the results!
A logo was created and a theme that flows throughout the entire building. Lots of hand painting, murals, and a jaunty black line design. Custom illustrations were made to reflect the various plantlife found in the wood, and used in identifying the various rooms in the building.
Favourite bits:
There was a lot of design involved in this project, and it was the first time I'd used my own hand-drawn illustrations in the creation of their logo and the plant-life imagery used around the building. I really enjoyed doing it!
